[News] Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s Interview with Glamour Magazine
You may be familiar with Kylie Jenner, 15, and Kendall Jenner, 17, because of their famous sisters (Kourtney, Kim, and Khloé Kardashian—heard of them?). But with their modeling careers heating up and their new clothing line with PacSun, the two youngest K’s are emerging as fashion players in their own right. We caught up with the future aunts of Kimye’s baby about guys, makeup, the paparazzi, and how they really feel about the Kardashian name.
Glamour: Your family leads such a public life. Is that a good thing?
Kylie: Our family is closer because of the show. And when we are older, we’ ll have the memories on tape. If some of those moments hadn’t been filmed, I wouldn’t remember them!
Kendall: We appreciate everything that we have, but we don’t remember what it’s like to be normal kids who aren’t harassed by the paparazzi. I hate that. We’re underage girls. I don’t want to be followed by random men I don’t know. It can also be hard to deal with other kids who are jealous or mean. I can’t post a picture on Instagram without being criticized.
Kylie: No one really knows what we are like. People read about us on Twitter, but they don’t know what we do all day long. We don’t really have privacy, but we have an aspect that people don’t know about.
Glamour: What do you learn from each of your sisters?
Kendall: If we’re fighting, we call Khloé. She’s our peacemaker. Kourtney keeps us down-to-earth.
Kylie: Kim teaches us how to deal with the spotlight.
Glamour: Between your brothers—Brody, Brandon, Burt, and Rob—and your sisters’ partners, Lamar, Scott, and Kanye, there are a lot of men in your lives. Are they protective?
Kylie: Rob checks on me at least three times a day, and Lamar wants to meet any guy we’re talking to. Just yesterday Scott was going over the kind of guy I should date.

[News] How Kylie and Kendall Jenner handle the haters
When you’re a member of one of the first families of reality TV, there are going to be some naysayers.
Now, Kendall Jenner, the 17-year-old younger half-sister of Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe, tells omg! that dealing with those negative peeps can be more than a little frustrating. Her family’s strategy is simply not to let it get to them.
“I can’t let haters, people that are going to judge me or say negative things, I can’t let all of that stop me,” Kendall says. “I can’t let that get to me, because then it’ll make me go crazy. And yeah, it sucks, and yeah, I do see it, and it does get to me a little bit. I just can’t let it get to me anymore. It’ll stop me from doing so many things, so many things that I want to do, and that’s not how to live your life.”
Of course, we know that the Kardashians also have lots of supporters, and they wouldn’t be where they are today if people didn’t read stories about them, watch them on TV, or buy their products. Kendall says she tries to focus on the fans.
“You will get so many people – Khloe told me this – saying ‘I love you, I love you, oh my God, you look perfect in this picture, you’re beautiful’ … and that one person that says ‘ew, you’re ugly’ or ‘I hate you’ is the person that’s going to get to you. But you have so many people that love you,” she shares. “I have such an amazing family, and I’m so blessed, you just can’t let things like that destroy you. You’ve got to have peace of mind.”
The class of critics that especially bothers Kendall are those who still think of her and her younger sister, 15-year-old Kylie, as little girls too young to, say, post photos of themselves in bikinis online. On Wednesday, Kendall felt so strongly about the topic that she tweeted, “I AM growing up and some of you are having a hard time accepting that. worry about yoself, weirdos” – a message that she explained in our interview a few hours later.
“I feel like people don’t realize – especially with me and Kylie, just because we have been on the show since we were like 8 and 9 – I feel like people have that image of us being little kids. I’m not saying that I’m an adult, I’m not saying that I’m old, I’m not saying that I’m better than that, but I am saying that people need to realize that Kylie and I are growing up,” she says. “We are starting to do our own thing and becoming older, mature women. We’re not little kids anymore. And every time we’ll post something on Instagram or we’ll tweet something and they’ll be like ‘you’re so young, stop it!’ And yeah, I’m young, but I’m not naive.”
Despite the haters, the Jenner sisters are on their way to becoming savvy businesswomen just like their siblings. The teens, who are home-schooled, are already professional models, columnists for Seventeen magazine, authors of a forthcoming sci-fi book for young adults, and now, clothing designers. Their line of California cool tops, shorts, and dresses will be available at PacSun stores and online beginning February 8.
The ladies are so independent that Kylie notes they didn’t even turn to their big sisters – who already run their own clothing line – for help.
“We actually didn’t want advice from our sisters,” Kylie reveals. “We wanted it [to be] more about me and Kendall, and organic thoughts.”
Kylie adds that she and Kendall were both “very involved” in designing the pieces, and she’s happy with the result.
“We wanted to make it very springy, summery, with kind of a California vibe,” she explains. “So I love how it turned out.”
[News] Kendall & Kylie Jenner Cover Girlfriend Magazine in Australia
Kendall and Kylie are on the February 2013 cover of Girlfriend Magazine in Australia! You can read part of their interview with the magazine below:
On the paparazzi:
“The paparazzi is the most annoying- especially because we are underage and there are men following us. I hate it so much!”
On their Nicole by O.P.I. nail polish collection:
“We’ve always been big fans of doing our nails; I think our mom had a lot do with that – she always take us to get our nails done when we were younger, so coming out with our nail polish line is pretty amazing.”
On describing Kylie’s style:
“Kylie is always put together. I know that’s not a type of style, but she’s more edgy at times, she takes more risks and she’s always a bit boho. She’s grown out of it a bit, but she used to be really boho.”

We really had a blast shooting the whole video series with Venus for Facebook!

JJJ: Venus is all about embracing your legs. Do you girls have any funny stories about the first time you shaved?
Kendall: I didn’t really know what I was doing when I first started shaving and I didn’t tell anyone that I was doing it. My mom was like, “Why did you shave your legs?!” I didn’t use water or shave gel and borrowed my sister’s razor. I know better now and never take a shower without shaving.
Kylie: I was scared to talk to my mom about shaving and one of my sisters ended up walking in on me shaving on the side of the tub and told me to use shaving cream. I’ve used it from then on, my favorite is the Satin Care Passionista Fruit shave gel.
JJJ: Since you both walked in NYFW, did you see any trends that you want to rock yourself?
Kendall & Kylie: Cool jackets, chunky and off the shoulder sweaters, and lots of boots. We can’t wait for Fall to start so we care start wearing these looks!
JJJ: Speaking of fashion, if you could go shopping with any celebrity for a day who would it be and what stores would you go to?
Kendall & Kylie: Maybe Nicki Minaj because it would fun to see how she puts those crazy looks together.
JJJ: Do you think your new niece will be a fashionista when she gets older?
Kendall & Kylie:How can she not be with Kourtney as her mom and all her Aunties buying her the cutest clothes ever!
JJJ: What do you think is the key to being confident?
Kendall & Kylie: Believing in yourself, having fun, and not taking it too seriously!
JJJ: Beside you both being beautiful on the outside, you’re also beautiful on the inside. What’s the best advice someone’s given you about working in the industry and staying true to yourself?
Kendall & Kylie: Wow thanks, that’s a nice compliment! The industry can be really hard so have a good, honest and loyal group of friends who you can really trust.
JJJ: In a recent episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians you both said you wanted to try out home schooling. Are you still sticking with that this school year?
Kendall & Kylie: Yeah, we’re going to be home schooled because our schedules have gotten so busy so well see how it goes, it’s a big change for us but we’re excited!
